"Pop" From My Heart...

Here are some cards I have made this month... for Valentine's Day, a birthday, and a a baby shower. I am currently into making these pop-up cards which I found on I have done the heart one, the flower one and the Noah's ark one. Each is fun. The Noah's ark one looks more difficult but is worth the effort because it is so adorable. They are surprisingly easy once you get the hang of them. And so cute... Worth the try!!!

Count your... Miracles!!!

First is a picture of Zachary, then is a picture of Dario- so you can see them "together" for the first time... :-)

We are truly blessed to see God working miracles in our lives... I know that our family has several worth mentioning, but for now, I want to introduce you to one that is most recent and special to us... meet Zachary. He was born two weeks after our son, Dario, and is truly a miracle child to my sister and brother-in-law. He and Dario have never met, but I think that these two share a family resemblance that binds them even before they do.

Zachary, we are so happy to have you in our lives. We cannot wait to meet you in person. Until we can, remember that we think of you often and love you very much. And an official congratulations to my sister and brother-in-law for their handsome, little miracle. We love you!!!

The Real Gift of Love...

Happy Valentine’s Day!!! Today is a day to celebrate love… some might think that that only refers to love between a couple- married or in love. I beg to differ.

1 John 4:7, 8 says, “Beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God, and everyone that loves is born of God and knows God. He that does not love, does not know God. For God is love.” We have the knowledge of true love because of God’s sacrifice of love to us… that He sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to save us from our sins. John 3: 16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son to die that whoever would believe in Him would not perish because of sin, but would have everlasting life with Him.”

This is all to say, that no matter what, you are truly loved. The Creator of the Universe and Saviour of the world, specifically loves YOU. How wonderfully amazing. So… what do you do when you owe someone something that you could never repay Him for??? THANK HIM. Show that you love Him by unconditionally loving others as He loved you and me.

So saying, I just want you to know that I truly DO love you all. You have been given to me as family and friends for a very special purpose. I thank God for you, and I just want you to know that. I hope you have a wonderful day today and throughout this week. And may our awesome God bless your socks off! “May God bless you, keep you, shine His face upon you, be gracious to you, and give you Peace.” (Numbers 6)

Love, and many thoughts,

Celita and Anthony and family (Antonio, Giosaia, Luca, Miranda, and Dario) :-)

Faces Of Blessing...

I sit here and observe your faces...
In Wonder.
No two the same, yet...
So Similar.
Your smiles light up my days...
With Laughter.
I cannot imagine life...
Without You.
Remember that I hold you always within...
My Heart...
And I want you to know that...

Creative Covers For Written Words...

Here are some cards I made recently for different occasions. It is such fun to make them as personal, unique, and meaningful as I want them to be. Make time for your creative side...

Such Friendly Critters...

Here are some pictures of some recent things I made: we have my version of a calico butterfly made from an extra large paper towel roll, a frog made from a q-tip container, and some happy caterpillars made from toilet paper rolls... Such fun!

A Vow Of Dedication...

We had Dario dedicated, in between sicknesses, on Sunday, January 6, 2008. It was a beautiful opportunity to present ourselves as a family before God and our church community and declare our intent to raise our children up in the "ways of the Lord". There is no better way to do it... to raise our kids with God's help, His wisdom. We fail in so many ways, but He never fails. He knows all things, and His ways, though we may not always understand them, are perfect. We are honored and blessed to be His children and to know that He has promised to be there with us in our parenting journey, to help, encourage, exhort, discipline, etc... with whole and unconditional love and a perfect plan that we need never doubt or fear. What a relief!

Simple Things And Wonder-y Days

I would like to draw you attention to one little fact... Your life is constantly being observed by others. Even your likes or dislikes can shape how another relates to you. Below is a copy of an email I recently received from a family member. I was amazed that something so insignificant as a "get to know you" survey could prompt someone else to be encouraged, blessed, or just be a reminder to enjoy something... Who knew!!??? Well, I am honored. I have had this verse from Colossians 3:23 in mind quite a bit over these months. It says, pretty much, "Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men." Even small things, like sending e-mails, a simple phone call to say "just calling to say hi and thinking about you", or a hug... simple things like that can sometimes mean so much. May God continue to use the simple things I have to offer to bring a smile to your face, a hug to your heart, and a moment of relief or a reminder to your every days. God bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you, be gracious to you and give you peace... Numbers 6

Hey Cuz,

I just reread your email about the Just One Word and when I got to the part about your favorite color I got really excited because you typed sunsets. I got excited because this morning I was on the bus (on the way to school) and I wasn't in the greatest mood (b/c it was 7am on a Monday morning and I was going to school). The sky was cloudy this morning and it was basically pretty dreary, but all of the sudden my bus went up a hill and right on the horizon across a big field there was this huge patch of an orangy-pinkish-samony-peachish-absolutely-drop-dead-gorgeous sky. It was so bright and magnificent that it literally took my breath away. And it was so close to the horizon that when we went up another hill and when I looked at it long enough it looked like it was a big lake of bright water that was surrounded by the clouds on one side and tree tops on another. It was without a doubt one of the coolest things I have ever witnessed, and I just had to praise God because who else can do that? Ya know? Who else can turn such a dreary sky into a painter's pallete of wonder? Only God can. It was truly exhillerating. A guy got on the bus right after I started admiring the sky and I said to him "S*, look at the sky!" It's funny because he very rarely sits with me since I'm in the back of the bus, but he did today and he looked and said "That is so sweet." All I could say was "S*, that's how I know there's a God." He looked at me kind of funny, but then I said something like "Who else could make something that beautiful?" I don't know what he thought, but I hope the moment was as special for him as it was for me. God is so good, and He knows how to make me smile. That's something that I love so much about Him. So anyway, it used to be purple, but my new favorite color is sunrise.
Love you.
