Humane Mouse Trap...

I just had to share pictures of a funny little contraption first built by Anthony's grandfather, Soccorso, years ago. It is a mouse trap. The hole on the middle top leads to a piece of cheese attached to the string. when the mouse eats the cheese the trap closes over it. My father-in-law and mother-in-law just recently had two mice that did not want to leave, and they used this. Actualy, my father-in-law made a second one resembling the one his own father had made. Neat. (The taped up one is the old one...) :-)

  1. Only in Italy!!! That is a pretty ingenious contraption! Does it work...did they catch anything? You'll have to keep us posted!

  4. that is totally hilarious. I had mice in the laundry room last year (or was it the beginning of this year?). They got into a bag of birdseed. You'd think we'd learn our lesson to keep food down there (especially an open bag). We have a pantry in the playroom part with lots of food but everything is sealed shut. I am grossed out about mice and screen loud enough for the street next to me would hear even with the windows closed.
